The organizers of the International Conference Rural Space and Local Development are active members in the Centre for Research on Settlements and Urbanism.
Papers presented at the conference sessions will be published in the Journal of Settlements and Spatial Planning, an open access review, edited in English, issued biannually, both online and hard copy.

Since the conference focuses on peripheral rural areas, we are planning to edit two special issues of our journal on the subject Peripheral Rural Areas between Certain Existence and Uncertain Development.

We notify authors that articles submitted by July 23rd, 2014 the latest, will be accepted for publication in the first Special Issue of JSSP, which will be posted online in October 2014.  Please note that all articles submitted after this date, until March 1st, 2015, will be included in the second Special Issue of JSSP, which will be posted online in May 2015.

All authors will be notified once the decision of acceptance for publication in Journal of Settlements and Spatial Planning is made.

Since JSSP has been assigned both an ISSN number and an ISSN-L number, articles will be available for citation once they are posted on the webpage of the Journal of Settlements and Spatial Planning.
